ABOUT

I’m Nick Allan, a UK-based music photographer specialising in live, touring, and festival photography, capturing the intensity, atmosphere, and defining moments of performances across the alternative, punk, and rock scenes.
My work has been published in leading music publications including Kerrang!, Clash Magazine, Record Collector, and Vive Le Rock, documenting artists and moments that shape contemporary live music culture.
Alongside editorial work, I have worked directly with artists and industry teams across touring and live events. I toured Europe with letlive. and Last Hounds, capturing both the energy of their live performances and life on the road. I have also worked with Taking Back Sunday, photographing and videoing their headline performance at 2000 Trees Festival, and photographed Home Grown during their first UK performance in 20 years at Slam Dunk Festival.
I regularly photograph major UK and European festivals including Reading Festival, Download Festival, Slam Dunk Festival, Hellfest, and 2000 Trees Festival, documenting performances from some of the most influential artists in the alternative music scene.
Clients include Polydor Records, Venn Records, Cherry Red Records, TUFF MGMT, AMP Management, as well as leading music retailers HMV, Fopp, and Rough Trade, providing photography for editorial, promotional, and live coverage.
